Metropolitan Medan

1. Medan City

Largest city on Sumatra island and third largest after Jakarta and Surabaya. The city actually has many tourist attractions, both in urban and surrounding districts. But often we read a review or comment about the lack of security for tourists and migrants in Medan. In addition to the original residents are still many who do not feel the direct benefits of tourism, this is also due to the low level of awareness of population to the need for a good image of the city and secure the survival of tourism, particularly tourist cities. Many historical places that we can visit and we appreciate the city of Medan.
2. OBJEK TOUR
Maimun Palace
Maimun Palace is one of the iconic city of Medan, North Sumatra, is located on Talbot village, district of Medan Maimun. Designed by Italian architect and built by the Sultan of Deli, Ma'mun Al Rashid Perkasa Alam in 1888, Maimun Palace has an area of 2772 m2 and 30 rooms. Maimun Palace into a tourist destination not only because of old age, but also the unique interior design, combines elements of Malay cultural heritage, with Islamic style, Spain, India and Italy, but unfortunately it appears less taken care of now.
3. Field Post Office
This building is very menankjubkan history form was completed in 1911 by architect SNUYF, Director of Public Works Bureau Netherlands to Indonesia at that time. This building is a masterpiece main SNUYF. Post Office is located just in front of the Hotel Dharma Deli. Currently, the Central Post office in North Sumatra.
4. Masjid Raya Medan
Historical development of al-Mashun Grand Mosque was built on August 21, 1906, completed and opened to the public on 10 Semtember 1909. then, the ruling was the sultan of Deli Sultanate Mamun Al Rashid Perkasa Alam IX. entire cost of the mosque, which is estimated to reach one million guilders on his own responsibility by the Sultan.
5. Water Tower Tirtanadi
Water Tower in Medan is 42 meters tall and weighs 330 tons. Until now still works fine, managed by PDAM Tirtanadi. This is the first clean water distribution tower built by the Deli Maatschappij in 1908. Name of management company, baptizing Beresih Waterleiding Maatschappij (from which comes the word tap water). Although actually already have the distribution of clean water, the tower was purposely built as a landmark city of Medan (at that time not many high buildings).
6. Lonsum
Lonsum Building was completed in 1909, along with the birth of Queen Juliana (Dutch Royal family) and its owner is the British rubber plantation companies "Harrisons & Crosfield" company. Harrisons & Crosfield (H & C) was founded by Daniel Harrison, Smith Harrison and Joseph Crosfield in 1844 in Liverpool and wrestling in the field of tea and coffee importer.

Polonia International Airport is an international airport which is located about 2 km from the center of Medan, Indonesia. The airport serves flights to major cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Batam, and to Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Ipoh) and to Singapore. Calculated from the number of passenger flow, Polonia is the fourth largest airport in Indonesia after Jakarta's Soekarno-Hatta, Juanda, and Ngurah Rai.
